Karen A. Colucci
Partner
Over a nearly thirty year career as a trial attorney, Karen A. Colucci has succeeded countless times trying cases in Massachusetts state courts. Armed with diligence, wisdom and critical analysis for each case, Karen is known for her skill in negotiating timely resolutions without exhausting precious financial and often, emotional resources.
Prior to becoming Partner at Pelletier Law Group, LLC. in 2017, Karen spent nearly twenty-five years in the public and private sector. As an assistant district attorney with the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office, Karen prosecuted criminal cases, including OUIs, domestic assault and batteries, larcenies, drug offences and motor vehicle violations, in both the adult and juvenile sessions. As the Supervisor of Newton District Court, she balanced prosecuting cases to verdict while considering the needs of victims, law enforcement and defendants in reaching fair resolutions. Her experience as a prosecutor provided her with the unique opportunity to understand and appreciate the factors involved in any criminal case and she has used that skill to successfully defend clients charged with a number of offenses, including operating under the influence, embezzlement, larceny, assault and battery and vehicular homicide.
Karen also spent more than fifteen years as a Senior Associate with Bellotti Law Group, P.C. In addition to handling criminal defense cases, Karen concentrated in insurance defense cases involving motor vehicle liability as well as premises liability; high profile civil litigation and divorce cases and became known in the office as the attorney to be assigned the tricky, novel cases that required a creative legal perspective to resolve. She particularly relished cases that had long complicated fact patterns that needed to be dissected, analyzed and presented.
At Pelletier Law Group, LLC., Karen has developed a concentration in probate matters and civil litigation.
Outside of the office, Karen loves painting, reading, visiting the Cape and enjoying life with her large extended family and her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
